Old Vic Productions plc is a leading theatre production company. It produces, co-produces, manages and invests in plays and musicals. This means that it is involved in a wide range of shows, offering investors the opportunity to be associated with a varied selection of the best of the West End.
The Company was launched in 1993 by Chairman Richard Attenborough and Chief Executive Sally Greene under the name Criterion Productions.
Its aim was to give theatre-lovers from across the country the opportunity to participate in theatrical production.

In 2000, the Company was re-launched as Old Vic Productions plc to reflect Chief Executive Sally Greene's association with the historic Old Vic Theatre and the shared ethos between it and the Company of staging work of the highest quality.
Old Vic Productions plc enjoys the distinction of a Board that includes some of the most experienced and influential figures in British theatre today. Chaired by Lord Attenborough, other directors include Stephen Daldry, Dame Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons, Kevin Spacey and David Suchet.


SALLY GREENE (Producer)

Theatre impresario Sally Greene is the owner of the Old Vic Theatre and the Criterion Theatre. She is well known for her achievements in rescuing and restoring some of Britain's greatest theatres including the OLD VIC THEATRE, the RICHMOND THEATRE and the CRITERION THEATRE. In 1999 she launched one of the West End's most formidable production companies, Old Vic Productions plc, which to date has 700 investors and has produced over 40 plays in the West End and on Broadway. She appointed Kevin Spacey as Artistic Director of the Old Vic in 2000 and they intend to bring the best of American and British talent onto the stage of the Old Vic during the next five years.

Sally is about to begin work on her fourth theatre, an entirely new building, which will be on the site of the old COLLINS MUSIC HALL in Islington. She is extremely excited to be working on Billy Elliot: The Musical with Working Title Pictures and such extraordinary British talent. Her only remaining ambition is to one day sing a duet with Sir Elton.
