BILLY SETS OFF ON HIS TRAVELS! US TOUR ANNOUNCED!

It was announced yesterday at Chicago’s Wrigley Field that Billy Elliot will launch a U.S. national tour with an extended run in Chicago beginning in spring 2010 before embarking on a multi-city tour. Performances will begin March 2010 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre, with additional cities, dates and casting being announced at a later date.

The tour was announced by two of the show’s producers, Eric Fellner and Jon Finn, alongside composer Elton John who said, “Chicago has always been one of my favorite cities to play. It is my distinct pleasure to share this show that I love so much with a city that has always been very kind to me.”

This announcement follows on from the success on Broadway and Billy's recent winning 10 Tony awards including Best Musical.
