SALLY GREENE
ProducerSally Greene is a producer of Billy Elliot the Musical worldwide. In 1993, she launched Criterion Productions with Lord Richard Attenborough and in 1999, renamed it Old Vic Productions plc (OVP). Created by Sally Greene, and run by Sally and executive producer Joseph Smith, OVP has co-produced or partnered in more than 100 productions in the West End and on Broadway, winning numerous awards. These include Cyrano de Bergerac, The Reduced Shakespeare Company, The Vagina Monologues (London), The Weir, Dolly West’s Kitchen, The Car Man, Medea, Life (x) 3, Benefactors, Elaine Stritch: at Liberty, Macbeth, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Hamlet, Swimming with Sharks, Three Days of Rain, and recently the multi-award winning Jerusalem.
OVP is a major partner in the Old Vic Theatre Company led by Artistic Director Kevin Spacey. It has recently partnered the company on the hit revivals of Speed-the-Plow, The Norman Conquests, Inherit the Wind, The Real Thing and The Prisoner of Second Avenue.
Sally is the chief executive of The Criterion Theatre and Greene Light Films and the proprietor of the renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and two restaurants, The Cheyne Walk Brasserie and the Waterloo Brasserie.
