AARON WATSON

My name is Aaron Watson and I am 12 years old. I live in King's Lynn which is a small town in Norfolk with my mum, dad, brother, sister and numerous animals. I first started gymnastics when I was five and when I was seven I started dancing at Footlights Dance Centre, training in ballet and tap and then went on to train in modern, drama and contemporary dance.

I am really excited to be playing Billy Elliot and I can't wait until my first performance. I would like to say my biggest thank you to Great Ormond Street Hospital for saving my life with heart surgery and helping me to be here today. Great Ormond Street is such a remarkable place! I would also like to thank Footlights Dance Centre, Bourne Academy of Dance and everyone who has taught me dance, singing and drama. I can't forget to mention the whole company including the house parents and schoolteachers.

I would like to dedicate my first performance to Great Ormond Street. It feels like it has taken a long time, but at last I made it!
