PAUL ATKINSON - Associate Set Designer

Paul trained at Croydon School of Art and Design. He has assisted many designers on many productions including, Anthony Ward ( My Fair Ladyand Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Mark Thompson ( Bombay Dreams) and most recently Bob Crowley (Mary Poppins). For Tanya McCallin, opera productions of The Tales of Hoffmann, for the Salzburg Opera Festival and Macbeth, Marinsky Opera, St Petersburg.

He has spent significant time at the National Theatre as a resident Design Associate, productions of: Mourning Becomes Electra, Jerry Springer – The Opera, Jumpers, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Duchess of Malfi, Noises Off and Closer.He has worked on numerous productions with Ian MacNeil, including: An Inspector Calls(Broadway, Tokyo and UK Tour), Machinal and Albert Speer(National Theatre), Enter Achilles (DV8), Tristan and Isolde (English National Opera) and La Traviata (Bastille Opera, Paris).
